The excitement I felt when I knew we were going there for the day was great. I also used to go to the skating rink as a teenager. Lots of memories, but also very sad for an era gone by!!! I do have a photo of me on the carousel. I was maybe 11 at the time. I tried to send it to you but was unable to do so. If you have a written address I will send you a copy. The pictures I've seen on the website made the Comet look much larger than it is.(unfortunately, it also made the coaster look in much better condition than it really is. Too bad.) There is a section of the park on Beeden st. that didn't have any fence around it. I wanted to go in and get some pictures, but there were people entering the park in dump trucks. I hope more people post pictures of the park when it was open. I am very curious to see how the park changed over the years. Since I don't have my own memories of Lincoln Park, I have to rely on the memories of others. Keep up the good work on the site.
