Nature Marches On
Well I had an opportunity to stop by the old park and get some firsthand photos of what happened over the winter. The collapse of the south end return loop (aka first hill) was as expected, a big jumble of lumber, resembling a giant pile of toothpicks.
Most of the loop stayed within the confines of the Coaster area, because largely due to the fact that the anchoring guy wires were still intact, thus holding things from splaying outward.
